From an early age, Luxembourg fashion designer Sacha Cooper followed his passion for fashion. Post high school, he embarked on his fashion journey at ESMOD in Munich, Germany. After two semesters and securing two school accolades, he craved more, thus transitioning to the prestigious AMD fashion academy in Duesseldorf, Germany. Here, he excelled, clinching another competition victory before graduating in 2005. Remarkably, he was the sole male student to achieve this feat in years. Despite the challenges post-graduation, Sacha remained resilient in pursuit of his dream as a designer.
Having worked behind the scenes as a designer at Rihanna's 2010 concert, responsible for enhancing her costumes, it wasn't until 2012 when everything changed with his participation in a charity fashion show presenting his 'Heartache' collection. This event marked the birth of Cooper Hotcooture, paving the way for numerous accolades and achievements.

One memorable Saturday night out with friends sparked the inspiration for the label's name. On a sweltering summer evening, the group light-heartedly quipped that it was 'too hot for couture'. Unable to use the official term 'haute couture' without approval, the decision was made to play off his last name instead. Thus, 'Hotcooture' was born by creatively blending the sounds and essence of 'haute (hot) couture (cooture)’.
Sacha Cooper has maintained his success over the past few years, introducing new collections like 'Everybody's sweethard' (2013), 'Amour noir' (2014), 'sins are tempting daily' (2015), and 'PAST|ELLE' (2015). Typically releasing one exclusive collection yearly, it wasn't until 2015 that Cooper Hotcooture unveiled 2 collections in the same year.
Another noteworthy detail is his successful collaborations with various photographers, ensuring that their styles complement his designs' aesthetic and narrative. While pursuing his studies in Germany, he earned numerous awards, with the most prestigious being his victory in the 2013 JBC fashion contest. Competing against nearly 80 participants as the only Luxembourgish designer, he garnered the highest number of votes, securing a place as one of the three winners of this esteemed Belgian design award. The prize included the production and sale of three designs from his 'Sophisticated Avengers' collection, specifically created for the contest. This collection pays homage to classic Hitchcock movies and was exclusively available in select JBC stores.
Inspiration fuels his designs, drawing from various sources like music, life experiences, love, and even specific moods like that of 'American Horror - Coven' Season 3 for his 2014 'Amour Noir' collection. The intricate details demonstrate his love for the craft, evident in the clever collection names, personal touches, fabric choices, and pattern combinations.
